Fourth grade is experiencing a whole new medium in art as they weave creative and colorful projects using different colors and textures of yarn.

Middle School students completed a fun teambuilding exercised, flexed their kindness muscles by playing "compliment hot potato," explored the concept of empathy, and took empathy self assessments in this week's Middle School Advisory.

TDSA selected its new theme logo, a beautiful design by Maya Dagmi (6G). The logo illustrates our them of Chesed (Kindness) and Achdus (Teamwork) and how these two concepts are wonderfully intertwined.

TDSA's students from Kindergarten through eight grade took the MAP Growth tests this week. Teachers will use these results to assess students' progress and tailor their teaching to meet their students' needs.

TDSA joined with the global Jewish community in commemorating October 7th by increasing the amount of light in the world. The students embraced a school-wide Chesed Challenge and wrote letters of Chizuk to IDF soliders and Israeli families displaced by war.

Kindergarten students got to meet Mrs. Ruby Grossblatt Katz, a former TDSA teacher and author of the book "Who's That Sleeping on My Sofabed?" She read the book to the class and spoke about what it's like being an author.

Kitah K got to watch Rabbi Rubin make a honey dipper. They watched it transform from a block of wood to an amazing dipper!!!

The Shinshinim program is a beloved part of TDSA. This week the Shinshinim played a fun Rosh Hashana Matching game with the third grade students.

7th grade girls experimented with marble run computers to learn about how computers work, logic puzzles, and collaborative teamwork.

The Kita K boys and girls had a fun sing-along with their family members in honor of Rosh Hashana. A great time was had by all!
